Ioried very hard not to talk about the massive protests going on across cities, because I felt like I was not fit enough to stand on opinion on the matter; but causing traffic gridlocks, setting police stations ablaze, freeing inmates from jail, destroying public properties and shooting innocent people can not, will not, and never be tolerated.
The president of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, made the appeal on Sunday, October 18, after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari that the protests should stop since the Nigerian government has accepted the demands listed by the youth protesters, but yet the protest keeps spreading due to selfish interest.
The demand made by the protesters needs time and a conducive environment to be implemented, notwithstanding the National Assembly made an assurance that it will play it's required roles on the issue, and effort has been made.
Nigeria's President Buhari has reacted to the ongoing nationwide #EndSARS protests on Monday, October 19; the president stated that "the youths have the right to protest and make demands from their leaders.", how strange that their only demand is for the president to be remove from office, democratically elected president.
The protest was said to be a peaceful protest but what is currently happening across cities is totally different. At a point I was in Support of the protests, when I realized that there's a hidden motives behind the protest, I immediately detached myself from it. I got to know that this is a plan for a revolution, Alas, there is no room for revolution. Nigeria is one.
And, I got to know that this is no longer a peaceful protest, rather they; protesters and hoodlums, wants to unleash mayhem to run down the country. For that, I will like to admonish whosoever that is having a negative plans against our Nation to stop before being coerce by the government.
If in anyway this post offend you, please kindly go to hell and meet your ancestors there. And, I repeat, there is no bargain for the peace of our Nation. Peace is our optimum priority.
